Our Class Registration Policy
Register by either phone or in person. WE DO NOT ACCEPT EMAIL REGISTRATIONS FOR CLASSES!!
To register for a class, you must prepay the class fee at which time you will be given a supply list for things needed to participate in the class. The class fee is for instruction only. No materials are included in the class fee. The fee is refundable if you let us know one week prior to the beginning of the class or if the class is canceled for lack of participation. If you do not let us know one week prior to the class starting, the fee is not refundable.

Beginning English Paper Piecing

(B) Learn the art of English Paper Piecing (EPP). Once you learn the basics, you can hand piece your quilt almost anywhere. This is a great way to use up small scraps, and make dazzling designs. A kit is provided. The supplies you need to get started are minimal. Join the fun, and explore the possibilities!

Walking Foot Only Machine Quilting

This class will help you to become more comfortable using your walking foot to create basic lines, shapes, curves and motifs. We cover machine needles, thread choices, marking tools and how to prepare you quilt for marking.

(B) This is the class for those who want all the tips for beautiful hand appliqué. Learn to make points, curves, circles, leaves, and stems.

Beginning Embroidery

(B) It’s sizzling outside! Why not come and cool off in the classroom at Patches and Stitches. It’s never too soon to start Christmas decorating.
We have over 2 dozen designs to choose from. Pick any design and Peggy will teach you the basic embroidery stitches required to make it plus some not so basic stitches.

Slow Stitching Embroidery

(B) Want to escape the chaos going on around us? Need to unwind after the holidays? Come join us to learn slow stitching/embroidery. Learn basic stitches to begin your journey. The project is a needlebook but you are encouraged to create whatever your heart tells you. We will be doing a “page” in class and talk about ways to use that page.

(B) I think most of us are feeling like the world has gone a bit crazy these days. Let’s relax and channel that craziness into a beautiful pincushion we can then stab and stab and stab 😂.
Patriotic themed kits available or select fabrics of your choice and come learn some traditional crazy quilt stitches.
Some pre work required and a basic knowledge of foundation paper piecing is helpful.
