Frequently asked Questions about the rules of registration and participation for the 2009 BOTM
- Q: If I miss picking up my block, what should I do?
- A: Come to the shop before the end of the month, bring in your pieced block and pick up your kit. Pay $5.00.
- Q: Can I pick up my kit before the 2nd Friday/Saturday of each month?
- A: No
- Q: Can I have someone else bring my finished block in and pick up my kit for me?
- A: Yes, but you will have to pay $5.00
- Q: If I miss a pick up date, can I pay $5.00 the next pick up date and continue?
- A: No. If you miss a pick up and we do not hear from you, we will assume you are dropping out and we will not prepare a kit for you. If you miss a pick up and you want to continue, you must come in the shop before the end of that month, pick up your kit and pay $5.00. You will then be back in the queue for all additional block kits.
- Q: If I miss two 2nd Friday/Saturdays in a row, can I get any more kits?
- A: Yes, but you will have to pay $10.00. (See answer to previous question.)
- Q: Will everyone get the same fabric in their kits?
- A: Yes
- Q: Do I have to put the quilt together like the shop model?
- A: No, you can set them together in any way you like. You can even make them a different size if you like.
- Q: Can I get my kit if I have not completed the previous months block?
- A: Yes but you will have to pay $5.00
- Q: Will you give me the House pattern for the sample with the house in the middle.
- A: Yes, but not the first month, probably in February or March.
- Q: What is the finished block size?
- A: The pieced block is 9” x 9” (9 ½” x 9 ½” including seams). If want to frame your blocks like we did on our models we will give you some instructions. The finished size with the log cabin setting around the blocks is 15” x 15” (15 ½” x 15 ½” including seams)
