BotM 2012 Rules
You may sign up anytime between now and December 31. The rules are:
(1) You and only you can pick up your kit each month.
(2) You must pick it up on the 2nd Saturday or the Friday before the 2nd Saturday.
(3) After the first pick up, you must bring the previous blocks pieced together.
If you break any one of the rules, you must pay $5.00 to continue. There are no exceptions to the rules.
(1) You will pick up two blocks each month therefore you will have to bring two blocks back to pick up your next blocks.
(2) The initial cost to sign up is $10.00.
(3) The penalty for breaking a rule will be $5.00.
(4) There are a total of 20 blocks, so the last pick up will be in October 2012.
Other pertinent information
- The blocks are 6" finished, 6 ½" with seam allowance.
- When you sign up you must tell us if you want white/bright kits or beige/cream kits.
- The quilt we made from is a pattern from a copyrighted book “Time Out Quilts” by Atkinson Designs. We will offer a 20% discount on the book for those who wish to purchase it. If you wish to purchase this book, when you pick up your first block in January, we will ask you to order and pre-pay for the book to be picked up in February.
- We used 20 different fabrics (fat quarters or regular quarters) to make and sash the blocks on the models. You can get by with 10 different fabrics if you sash two blocks with the same fabric. Your kits will include only background fabric (White or Cream). You will add some of your fabrics to complete the block.
- We will need to know your kit color preference by December 31, 2011. If you want to make one of each color or four of the same color, you can register twice. If you register twice, you must pay twice and bring in four pieced blocks each month.
- The yardage for completing the quilt like our model is in the book “Time Out Quilts”.
